Additionally, PSIS Semarang lost Taisei Marukawa, a key foreign player, to Dewa United. PSIS mentioned foreign player regulations as a reason for Marukawa’s departure. Despite these losses, PSIS has brought in new talent, including Zalnando on loan from Persib Bandung.
